The Youth Empowerment Seychelles’ vision is to create, foster and empower Society, where its people particularly, the youth see and exploit real potential in a caring and healthy environment. More importantly, our mission is to strengthen the livelihood of the youths by connecting them with viable opportunities, in so doing creating and nurturing the prospects for a sustainable generation embedded in the spirit of Peace, Unity and Justice. In structure, Youth Empowerment Seychelles (YES) comprises of an active group of young professionals who believe that together, with the right support, passion, leadership and resources, we can make a difference in the lives of young people within our communities. We can make a difference in the lives of young people within our communities. We believed these can be achieved by contributing positively in multidimensional aspects in the youth’s lives by sharing our knowledge and experience, as well as coaching and nurturing their future and that of our beloved country.

Meet the Team

President

Benjamin Port Louis

Entrepreneur, Biomedical scientist and conflict and dispute resolutioner. I
specialize in Entrepreneurship and innovation. Working in the business industry for the
last 10 years and recently creating an innovative organic replacement to chemical
fertilizers. My passion in business has opened my mind to innovation but innovation that
promotes sustainability, healthy living and to open the business market to a more
democratic business style.

Vice-President

Ronny Antat

Business administrator with extensive know-how in Food Hygiene &
Safety, Biochemistry, Food Production and; food residue analysis,
"Occupational Health and Safety", project management, business
administration, product development and marketing.

Secretary General

Ella Rene

Zoologist and Environmental Scientist, first specializing in entomology before stepping
into the agriculture and domestic animal industry. Worked with pets for 10 years, in agriculture
(large-scale) for 5 and in small-scale tourism management for 6. Have a passion for Nature,
Sustainability, Psychology and the spiritual aspects of these. I joined YES because I feel it is
time.

Media Relations

James Dupres

BBS , Bachelor of Business Studies (International Hotel Management) at NUI Galway, Ireland Certificate in Business Leadership (Young African Leaders Network)
Advance Diploma in Digital Marketing( Dublin Business School).
As a Multimedia Specialist, He specializes in a wide range of services, including tailored social media services and solutions for SMEs and Companies. He handles media relations and the growth of the platform through effective networking.

Lionel Edmond

BA , Business Administration Degree holder. With 9 years in banking field as a Relationship Manager.
Problem solver with a can-do attitude with a wealth of knowledge garnered through his tenure as a banker ,always willing to provide his counsel.
